Orientation

Orientation says whether the board lies flat or stands on its edge, which changes how warm air rises off its faces.

Choose vertical for a board standing in a rack or on a wall, and horizontal for one lying on a desk or a shelf.

It matters most in still air, so with a fan blowing the choice changes the map very little.
