θJC, junction to case
θJC is the theta, or thermal resistance, from the chip inside a part to the top of its case, in kelvin per watt.
Read it when a heat sink sits on the part, since the heat then leaves through the top of the case.
Without a heat sink little heat leaves through the case top, so θJC matters far less than θJB on a bare part.
