Circle

Draws a circle on the layer you are drawing on, from its center out to the radius you click.

When you want a ring on the silkscreen, a round cutout on the edge, or a round board.

Not a hole: a drilled hole comes from a pad or a mounting hole part, and KiCad calls this Draw Circles.
